The Saturday evening match on Cliviger top pond was a dour affair with heavy rain from start to finish.

This coming Sunday (2nd September) we have an open match on the Rochdale canal ( top end, Lanebottom etc). Draw York Hotel up to 8:30 am, fish 10:00am to 3:00 pm £12 all in. Ring Richard on 01706 290642 to book on.
Tomorrow, Saturday 1st September the juniors have a match on Gasworks. Draw up to 1:30 pm fish 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm at woodhouse bridge.

Tomorrow ( Saturday 18th August ) We have a club match on Cliviger top pond -
Members only. Draw top pond to 4:00 pm fish 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. £5 all in. 100%
payout.
The top pond has been fishing well recently for Carp, Tench and Bream
- in spite of the water level being about 12" below the overflow. Water is
leaking through the dam wall and into the pipe which goes down to the bottom
pond. Help , advice please.

The individual open match league was fished by 22 finalists last Tuesday. The match was fished on the Warland,Lanebottom,Sandersons, and White house sections of the Rochdale canal.

The winner collected £270 - No more Tuesday matches until next year.
The open match last Saturday was fished by 17 anglers on Summit length in very hot sunny weather, but the chub still fed ravenously.

The match at Cliviger fishponds was only fished by 4 anglers in hot mainly sunny conditions.

Non members are reminded that keepnets are not allowed, and only one rod may be used at once. Day tickets are suspended at Croft/Town House until further notice. All day tickets must be purchased prior to fishing or double will be charged.
