The committee match is at Cliviger top pond on Sunday 8th September 2002. Draw top pond upto 8:00 am. Fish 8:30 am to 4:30 pm committee / officials only. £5 entry with 100% payout.
Sunday 1st September is the final open match of 2002 on the Rochdale canal ( Sewage - Derdale ). Draw at Dale st car park up to 8:30 am. Fish 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Ring 01706 650954 or 01706 290642 to book on. £12 all in.

Saturday 31st August -
Fothergills
Saturday 21st September - Tench lenght / Fire station. Draw up to
1:15pm. Fish 2:00pm to 4:30 pm. Draw on match length. Entry £1 members only.
Proposals for the A.G.M. must be received in writing by the secretary by 13th October at the latest. All proposals to be properly seconded by a second member, both members must attend the A.G.M. at the Hollins Inn Walsden on Wednesday 13th November at 7:30 pm prompt.
Our junior organiser ( Bill Cox ) has indicated thet he will be standing down at the A.G.M. we thank him for all the hard work he has put in over the last few years, and now urgently need a new junior match organiser. Matches would be at times and venues to suit whoever decides to do this worthwhile job.
Last Saturdays 4hour evening match on Cliviger top pond was fished in ideal conditions (very warm) which should have seen good sport. Sport was slow however with 3 good Tench enough to win.

Last Tuesdays members only evening match was fished on Nehesco section of the Rochdale canal by 12 members.

Next Tuesdays match August 27th is the final match and is for winners and runners up of all the matches in the series. Draw Lane Bottom up to 5:45 pm. Fish 6:15pm to 9:00pm.
This Sunday 25th August we have an open match on the Rochdale canal Library
to Square Pool. Draw up to 8:30 am. Fish 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. £12 all in. Ring

The committe meetings, A.G.M. and Xmas match have been moved back to the Hollins Inn, with effect from 4th September meeting (next committe meeting).

Last Tuesdays match was fished in poor conditions (heavy rain) on Derdale.

Next Tuesdays match is the last match in order to qualify for the final on Tuesday 27th August (top 2 anglers from each match qualify to fish this final).
Junior matches are as follows Saturday 24th August on Dead Length, Saturday 31st August on Fothergills, Saturday 21st September on Tench/Fire station. Meet on match length up to 1:15pm fish 2:00 pm to 4:30pm. £1 entry.
Tomorrow Saturday 17th August we have a match at Cliviger top pond. Draw top pond up to 4:00 pm. Fish 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. £5 with 100% payout. Pond closed on 17th August.

Last Tuesday`s evening match was fished on Lanebottom section of the Rochdale canal by 19 entrants

Sunday 28th July we had a match on Cliviger top pond. Hot sunshine affected catches, but weights were reasonable.

Tomorrow Saturday 10th August we have a junior match on the Summit length of the Rochdale canal. Draw on the bank upto 1:15pm. Fish 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The juniors also have matches on 24th and 31st August. Members only £1 entry.
Last Saturday 27th July saw the long awaited junior taster on the Rochdale canal at Key Syke Lane. The environment agency were present, and anybody who came along and tried angling were given a t-shirt (B.W.B), and a McDonalds drink voucher. There were 8 N.F.A. coaches in attendance to show all comers 'how to fish'. Attendance was disappointing with just over 50 trying the sport. A Tench of 2 lb 14 1/2 oz was caught. Thanks to the mayor of Calderdale for coming along to support the event, and to all the coaches for their time, especially Dennis Dolan, and helpers for organising the event.
