Last Sunday`s open match was fished at Smithy Bridge (Lorry Park) by 21 anglers. Plenty of small Roach were caught with no dry nets.

Next match at Littleborough on the Rochdale canal is on Sunday 27th January. Draw Wheatsheaf 'pub' in the centre of Littleborough, upto 9:00am fish 10:00am to 3:00 pm. £12 all in. Ring 01706 290642 or 01706 650954 to book on.

Fish are now on order for most of our stillwaters, Roach,Bream and Tench. These fish will be introduced during March/April this year to ensure member`s floats continue to go under.

With effect from 2002 :
        Ground baiting with boilies is banned on all our waters.
        Junior match fees are £1 / match.
        Day tickets are no longer available anywhere on the Rochdale canal ( very few anglers were actually buying these tickets).
        The rule relating to the majority of the officals and committee living in Todmorden no longer applies.

Open matches are scheduled for the Rochdale canal at Littleborough on Sundays 27th January and 17th February, ring Richard on 10706 290642 to book on £12 all in.

There will be working parties on the canal on 10th March ( moving fish using nets )and at Cliviger on 17th, 24th and 31st March to remove weeds to enable anglers to fish with ease.

Any new senior wishing to join ( or member wishing to renew )  do it before 31st January and aviod the £10 entry fee, ie: pay only £26 subs for a years fishing. See subs for more details

Members must pay 2002 subs before fishing any of our waters in 2002.

There will be a 'fun-day' for juniors ( under 16) on Saturday 27th July on the canal at Todmorden. We will have various attractions on the canal bank and juniors who have never fished or wish to improve their skills will be expertly tutored by an 'army' of N.F.A. official coaches. The committee has decided to order Roach, Bream and Tench for delivery in February/March 2002, watch this space.

Membership is now open at the same prices as last year.
Senior new or renewal £26 up to 31/01/02 after which an entry fee of £10 will be charged ( £36 total ).
Junior £5 ( birth to 16th birhday)
Lady, O.A.P. (over 65), and wheelchair/limbless disabled £13.
Available at all our usual outlets.

The emergency General Meeting held on 2nd January decided to delete the requirement that over 50% of committee/officials live in Todmorden.
