This coming Sunday 30th July is the car trip to Kings Pool at Cannock, Woverhampton. Get your tickets  NOW since this match is members only. Tickets only £5 per peg. Get your tickets from Macks Burnley, or Rochdale Angling Centre. Rules bait bans, and directions to venue all provided at time of booking. We have a 65 peg lake all to ourselves for the day. Fish 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Next Tuesdays open match is on Bakehouse to Gasworks sections of the canal. Draw upto 5:45 pm. Fish 6:15 pm to 9:30 pm. £7 'all in' . This is your last chance to qualify for the Grand Final with quite big money at stake.

Sunday 23th July was our latest open match on Warland to Dead Length sections of the Rochdale canal. 37 anglers fished with carp providing the mainstay of the top 5 weights. Successful methods for winner and runner-up was ledgered worm or meat.

Sunday 13th August we have an open match on Summit to Dead Lengths of the Rochdale canal. Darw at York Hotel Todmorden up to 8:30am fish 10:00am to 3:00 pm. £12 all in ring 01706-290642 to book on.

Sunday 20th August in the match at Cliviger Top Pond for the committee and officials only. Meet lay-by, draw up to 8:00 am fish 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. £5 all in . Top Pond closed for pleasure fishing until 1:00 pm, after the match.

Juniors

Saturday 5th August there is a junior matchon Bakehouse section of the Rochdale canal, draw Todmorden tackle shop up to 1:30pm fish 2:30 pm to 5:00pm.

Membership of Todmorden Angling Society is still open at £35 senior (inc £10 entry fee payable once providing subs are paid by 31st January each year ). Juniors (birth to 16th birthday) £5 only (no entry fee).Ladies O.A.P.`s (over 65) and wheelchair and/or limbless disabled  £12.50 (no entry fee). Ticket Valid until 31/12/00

Matches

The trip to Kings Pool at Cannock Wolverhampton was attended by only 10 members. We fished the contest pool (ten anglers spread out around a 65 peg venue) and it was like pleasure fishing since nobody had another angler nearer than three pegs. The weather was mixed with a 75% dry 25% wet type day, but it was not windy.

Our next committee meeting is on Wednesday 16th August (back two weeks on scheduled date) will committee/offcials please note.

Any members may put forward proposals for discussion at our A.G.M. which takes place on the second Wednesday in November each year at the Hollins Inn, Walsden at 7:30pm. Proposals can relate to , general rules, subscription rates (including entry fee) or match rules. Proposals must be in writing and seconded by another member, and must be received by the secretary at least one month prior to the A.G.M.
Discussion takes place at the A.G.M. and voting is based on the written proposal (no amendments allowed).

Juniors
The Grand Junior Match at Queen St Mill was fished last Saturday (24/06/2000) by 16 anglers.(10 U17 & 6 U13). The weather was cool and windy, but the rain held off. The weed and wind made bait presentation difficult at times, but all enjoyed the day and 13 out of 16 caughtat least a few fish.
