The next Sunday open match is not on a Sunday but on Saturday 28th July, draw York Hotel upto 8:30 am fish 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. £12 all in. Fish Summit - Nehesco sections of the Rochdale canal. Ring Richard on 01706 290642 to book on.

Next Tuesday 24th July is the final of the Tuesday league and is open to the winners, and runners up from all Tuesday match series. Draw Lane Bottom up to 5:45 pm fish 6:15 pm to 9:30 pm. £7 members £8 non-members.

There is a match on Cliviger top pond on Sunday 29th July draw up to 8:00 am fish 8:30 am to 2:30 pm £5 all in 100% payout.

The next two committe meetings are on Wednesday 1st August 7:30 pm Hollins Inn and then on Wednesday 29th August (September meeting brought forward by one week).

Tickets will be available for the committe/officials only match to fished at Raygill fishery on 9th September 2001 bring £5

Next Jumior match is next Wednesday 25th August on Sandholme. Draw upto 6:00 pm fish 6:45 pm to 8:45 pm 50p only members only.  Junior tutoring sessions have now restarted. Ring Denis on 01706-817252 for details.

Members are reminded that Queen St Mill is members only, NO KEEPNETS , juniors must be with a senior, and a maz of 6 anglers at one time.

The latest open match was fished on Warland down to Dead Length by 42 anglers in quite hot sunshine. Excellent nets of Carp provrd to make a good match

Next Wednesday 18th July we have a junior match it should have been on Queen St Mill,but because of the low water level it has been moved to Sewage works . Draw up to 6:00 pm fish 6:45 to 8:45 50p members only. The match scheduled for Wooden Bridge will now be fished at Sladen Wood.

Queen St Mill has been fishing brilliantly with lots of Carp Tench, Gudgeon, and ide being caught. KEEPNETS ARE NOW BANNED except in matches owing to the fact that the water level has been lowered making it difficult to place keepnets and even more difficult to put fish in them.

The latest Tuesday night match was fished on Warland and Lanebottom by 22 entrants. It was big Carp all the way to get in the money

Next Tuesday match is drawn at Dale St car park up to 5:45 pm fish 6:15 pm to 9:30 pm on Derdale to Gasworks sections of the Rochdale canal.

The next Junior match is on Wednesday evening 18th July at Queen St Mill, draw pto 6:15 pm fish 6:45pm to 8:45pm. Members are reminded that Queen St mill is for members only owing to a limit of 6 anglers being in force. Juniors (under 16 yrs) Must be acompanied by a senior at all times. No fishing during hours of darkness.

NEW RULE: Owing to the very low water level we must ban the use of keepnets they are difficult to position and it is even more difficult putting fish into them.
