Tomorrow Saturday 27th July is our 'FUN DAY' and anglling taster for juniors, ( under 16) . The event is at Key Syke Lane, Halifax Rd, Todmorden. on the Rochdale canal. Key Syke Lane is about 3/4 mile down Halifax Rd from Todmorden town centre. There is no charge, no licences are needed, and no tackle is needed. Just turn up between 9:00am and 3:00 pm and you will be shown how to fish by a N.F.A. trained coach. Hot food and ice cream available for purchase. If you like fishing and want to join Todmorden Angling Society then youmay purchase a junior licence for £5, which allows you to fish our waters until 31-12-2002.

Members are reminded that we do not allow groundbaiting with boilies and keepnets are banned at Queen St Mill.

The next committee meeting is on 7th August 2002 at Pockets Leisure Centre at 7:30pm.

This Sunday 28th July we have a match on Cliviger Top pond. Draw upto 8:00 am. Fish 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. £5 with 100% payout. Draw top pond.
There is another match on the top pond on Saturday 17th August. Draw 4:00pm. Fish 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. £5.

With slightly warmer weather and a bit of welcome sunshine waters are now beginning to fish a lot better- with most of our club waters producing good bags of Carp, Tench & Bream. Chub are also showing on the canal and Cliviger Bottom pond.

There is a junior 'FUN DAY' and angling taster on the Rochdale canal at Key Site Lane Todmorden on Saturday 27th July from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm with ten N.F.A. angling coaches present to teach youngsters how to fish.If you have never fished before or youwould like a bit of tutoring come along. No tackle. No charge. No licenses needed. Hot food and ice cream available.
T.A.S. members are requested to come along and help organise this event. If you can`t stay all day, come for half a day.

Junior matches are as follows.
Wednesday 24th July. Draw 6:00 pm Long Lees.
Wednesday 31st July. Draw 6:00 pm Sewage Works.
Saturday 10th August. Draw 1:15 pm Summit.

Next Tuesday`s senior match is drawn at Lanebottom upto 5:45 pm fish 6:15 tp 9:30 pm -  members only.

There is a match for members at Cliviger top pond on Sunday 28th July. Draw on site up to 8:00 am. Fish 8:30am to 2:30 pm. Pond closed to pleasure anglers until after the match.
There is also a match at Cliviger on Saturday 17th August. Draw upto 4:00 pm. Fish 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. £5 per peg 100% payout. Top pond closed on this day.

Last Tuesdays evening match at Smithybridge , Littleborough was only fished by 13 members. No big Tench or Perch showed but a few small Tench were caught.
