Sundays members only trophy match on Clivger Top Pond was fished in warm sunshine by 15 competitors. Weights were down owing to the bright weather, but were quite acceptable.
Result:
The golden fish was a Crucian Carp of 2oz caught by Tony Lees.

Tomorrow Saturday 21st June we have a junior match around Todmorden town centre. Draw up to 1:15 pm. Fish 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. There are replicas for the winner and runners up in each of the two age groups U12 & U16. Entry fee is £1.
The last junior match was fished on Library length by 6 juniors. Very good catches of small Carp where recorded.

The big 'Taster Day' when potential anglers can come along and try angling (or existing anglers can come and be coached to improve their skills) will be held on Library length on sunday 10th August. 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. No licences or tackle needed, this will all be supplied. We will have a number of N.F.A coaches all set up on the bank ready to show you how to be a successful angler. There will be no charge for this event.

Waters are now fishing brilliantly especially for smallish carp, Tench, Orfe and Ide. If you have not yet bought your T.A.S. season ticket do it now.

Day tickets are available on 3 of our waters, Cliviger Fish Ponds, Grove Lodge, and Crofthead Res, BUT tickets MUST be bought in advance, ie before entering any of our sites with fishing tackle, otherwise you will be charged double on the bank. Tickets cost £4 senior or £2 junior from tackle shops in Burnley, Rochdale , Oldham, Shaw, and Littleborough, or Roundhouse newsagents in Littleborough town centre, or Monarch Garage, Walk Mill, Cliviger. Day ticket anglers are limited to one rod, and are not allowed to use keepnets.

The Tuesday night matches start on 17th June at Smithybridge. Draw Lorry Park up to 5:45 pm. Fish 6:15 pm to 9:30 pm. £7 all in (50p peg fee,£4.50 pool, £1 bonus ball, £1 towards final match). Tese matches are member only and run until 25th August (final).

Most of our waters are now fishing very well indeed, with big fish appearing in numbers. Double figure Carp are being caught on the Rochdale canal, at Queen St Mill, Portsmouth Res and Cliviger, with plenty of Tench to 3lb from all waters.
