We have  another special day for juniors on Sunday 15th August, we have a junior 'Taster Day' on the Rochdale canal in Todmorden. This event is for any junior who has never fished, and wants to try, or any junior who has fished and would like to improve their skills. Just turn up at Salford way, Todmorden, sometime between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, and you will be coached, by a trianed coach. No charge. No Licence needed. No Tackle needed. No Bait needed. Just turn up on the day.

Tuesday evening matches have now started, and are every Tuesday until 25th August with a 'GRAND FINAL' on Bank Holiday Monday. Entry is £7 at each match. The next one being drawn at Lanebottom upto 5:45 pm. Fish 6:15 pm to 9:30 pm. £7 entry.

The last Sunday trophy match fished on Cliviger Top Pond was fished by 19 members.

Work on Cliviger has now started with the silt trap below the bottom pond being dug out and the bottom end of the spillway reconstructed. The paths will be re-stoned, and work will then be moved to the top pond to try and sort out the leak.

The last Sunday open match was fished on the Rochdale canal (Warland, Lanebottom, Sandersons, and Dead Length) by 31 anglers in good sunny weather.

The first Tuesday match is this Tuesday 15th June  at Smithbridge, on the canal, lorry park. Draw up to 5:45 pm. Fish 6:15 to 9:30 (or sooner depending on light). Each match has a £7 entry fee with 50p per peg going towards the final, and £1 to the 'Bonus Ball'.

Two anglers from each match qualify to fish the grand final on August Bank Holliday Monday 30-08-2004.

Work has now started at Cliviger to try to sort out the leaks in the dam wall, desilt the trap below the bottom pond, re-build the spillway, and reconstruction of the pathways. The bottom pond will be done first, the the top pond. Will members and day-ticket anglers please understand this work has to be done in dry weather i.e. now. At least one pond will always be full of water at a time ( hopefully).

The last members only trophy match was fished on Town House by 21 members in warm bright sunshine (except those pegged under the trees!) Lots of small fish were caught with the winner having about 80 fish.
