Last Sunday`s open match was fished on Derdale - Gasworks sections of the Rochdale canal at Todmorden by 16 anglers
Result:
Quite a few of the recently introduced Roach and Bream were caught with 4th placed K.James having only one at 1lb 2oz.
Next two open matches are both at Littleborough draw to to 8:30 am, fish 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. £13 all in. These are on Sundays 31st March,and 7th April. Ring Richard on 01706 290642 or Frank on 01706 650954 to book on.
Tuesday matches start on 14th May (members only) £7 all in per match.
Junior matches start on 1st June with 6 Saturday matchesand 6 Wednesday evening matches £1 entry per match.
There is a big 'fun day' on the canal at Todmorden on Saturday 27th July for members and any junior who wishesto turn up on the day to improve their fishing techniques or learn to fish ( having never fished before). There will be no charge and 'freebies' to all who turn up to fish on the day. Watch this space.
The April committee meeting will be held on 10th April.( not 3rd).
There are two moreWorking parties at Cliviger on Sundays 24th and 31st March. Would anybody willing to help please meet top pond 9:00 am. Thanks go to the two people who turned up for the first working party.

Membership for the current year is still open at £36 senior (inc £10 joining
fee) or £13 ladies,O.A.P.`s (over 65) and wheelchair/limbless
disabled.Juniors(under 16) £5. Membership is for a calender year. See waters for a list of our waters.
Day tickets are
available ( in advance only ) for Grove Lodge and Cliviger Fishponds.

Roach and Bream have been stocked in some of our waters and a large number of Tench will arrive at the end of March.

Both the Roach and Bream stocks have now delivered with fish being introduced to New Mill dam, Cliviger Fish Ponds Rochdale Canal and Croft Head. That leaves the Tench (300lb) and Golden Rudd to come at the end of March.

Day tickets at £3 senior and £1.50 junior are available in advance only from
most of these outlets
Day tickets must be bought
before fishing, and are only available for Cliviger, Grove Lodge, and Croft
Head.
Day ticket anglers may not use keep nets and are limited to using one
rod at once.
Members may use keep nets and two rods, but mat not groundbait with boilies. Members my not use keep nets at Queen St Mill due to the low water level.

There are working parties at Cliviger Fishponds to remove weed using weed rakes. Meet top pond 9:00 am on Sundays 17th, 24th, and 31st March.

The Roach have been delivered and were excelent quality fish. The Bream 6"-10" will have arrived by the time you read this, with the Tench coming at the end of March.
February 13th saw the B.W.B. electro-fish Sewage/Station House section of the Rochdale canal with about 40lb (30) Bream and 30lb Roach being moved to Gasworks. About 30lb Pike were taken away - biggest 10lb.
There are working parties at Cliviger to remove weed om March 17,24th, and 31st, meet top pond 9:00am. If you have wellies or waders wear them and if you have a weed rake please bring it. Lets see a good turn out for this on all three days as this work needs doing urgently .
