Stock fish for all Todmorden A.S. waters arrived Thursday 23rd March - Full details to follow.

Last Sundays open match on the Rochdale canal at Littleborough was an excellent match for all those who decided to turn up and fish. Competiters numbered 24 with excellent weights to show for their effort. No less than ten tench were landed with at least two lost! Large perch up to 2lb also figured in catches.
Result.

Matches then revert to Todmorden sections, draw at York Hotel, first May 28th.

Tuesday evening matches start om May 23rd and are all 'open' with eleven matches and a final on August 8th.

All our waters have started to fish 'sporadically' with good to excellent catches one dat , then very little the next. 30lb-40lb catches of Chub from the canal, 15lb-20lb catches of Chub/Bream from Cliviger top pond. Croft head has also started to produce a few good catches of Carp & Bream. Lanebottom section of the canal is providing good Carp sport.

Junior tutoring sessions are arranged every Saturday. Meet Todmorden tackle shop at 1pm, fish 1:30 to 4pm. This is so long as juniors keep turning up.
The junior open match at Queen St Mill ,Harle Syke, Burnley is now to take place on Saturday June 24th. Draw at the mill up to 9am with fishing from 10am to 2pm. Prizes/ Trophies will be presented in the mill after the match. To book on ring 01282 434786. Tickets available when details are finalised.

Queen St Mill opens for fishing on Saturday 1st April for members only - maximum of 6 anglers at any one time with no juniors unless accompanied by an adult at all times. Please do not used keep nets initially since the fish cost a lot of money and should be looked after.The water will be closed for one week from June 17th until June 24th for the junior match.

The weekend of March 31st - April 2nd sees the 'Big One' angling show at the NEC with a free spool of Ultima Pro-Match line to every visitor. All aspects of our sport are covered. Entry £8 Adults with under 16`s free.

Cliviger Postsmouth and Queen St Mill have had an injection of Bream recently - more fish to follow on March 23rd

Repairs have recently been carried out on platforms, walkways, and steps at Cliviger for the benefit of all users of the site. De-silting of the top pond will commence soon, a new path wil then be constructed along the top side of the top pond.

The junior tutoring sessions continue on Saturdays, meet Todmorden tackle shop at 1pm fish 1:30pm - 4pm.
The grand junior open match at Queen St Mill will take place on Sunday June 25th with 20 pegs available.Draw at mthe mill up to 9am, fish 10am - 2pm. Watch this space for more details.

Queen Street Mill, Briercliffe Road, Harle Syke, Burnley will open for fishing on Saturday April 1st 2000.
Members only with a limit of 6 anglers at once. Juniors MUST be accompanied by a senior at all times.
The water has been stocked with 50lb of Bream to 5lb, another large injection of fish will arrive on Thursday March 23rd,(Roach,Perch,Ide,Carp,Tench).
The water will be closed to fishing from June 17th ready for the junior open match on weekend of 24th/25th June.  Watch this space for details.

Junior tutoring sessions start at Todmorden on Saturday March 11th - Meet at Todmorden tackle shop at 1:00 pm fish 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Any junior member wanting help with his/her fishing and to catch a few fish at the same time please come along. These sessions will continue right throughout the summer (EXCEPT MARCH 13th)

Last weeks open match (27th Feb) at Littleborough was fished by 41 anglers with most catching some Roach and/or Perch. Excellent weights were recorded with over 4lb needed for 4th spot.

The two club trips on July 9th and July 30th to King`s Pool at cannock will be by car- i.e. no coaches this year. Tickets will be available in shops soon at only £5 and make your own wat there.
