Queen street mill grand opening junior match is to be held on Saturday 24th June - Advance ticket only at £5 including pie & peas in mill after the match. The Todmorden junior national squad have two practice sessions on the Stainforth and Keadby and New Junction canals on 1st and 2nd July, with the actual N.F.A. junior national event itself on Saturdy 8th July. Saturday 3rd June see the start of the junior matches with the first match on Sandholme section of the Rochdale canal. Draw at  Sandholme  at 1:30pm fish 2:30 to 5:00pm. Other junior matches follow on Saturdays 17/06, 29/07,05/08,19/08,26/08,02/09, and on Wednesdays 14/06, 21/06, 28/06, 12/07, 19/07.

Open Matches

Tuesday opens are every Tuesday, Draw upto 5:45pm fish 6:15pm to 9:03pm. Ring Steve for full details on 01706 373138. The first Tuseday open was fished in cool rainy weather by 30 hardy matchmen. The 'bonus ball' did not go so it 'rolls over' to the next match.

The Tuesday League

The Tuesday summer league on the Rochdale Canal at Todmorden starts on Tuesday 23rd May. Draw at Lanebottom. Fish Lanebottom,Sandersons, White House sections of the canal, draw upto 5:45pm fish 6:15pm to 9:30pm. £7 all in per match inc £4.50 individual pool for match £1 bonus ball and £1 towards grand final prize money.(T.A.S. will add £200 to final). There are eleven matches in all plus the grand final on Tuesday August 8th (on lane bottom - carp alley!). These matches are 'opens'.

Juniors

Junior club matches start on Saturday 3rd June, ad go right through the summer until 2nd September. The junior open match to celebrate the return of fishing to Queen St mill is on Saturdat 24th June. Draw upto 9:00am on site fish 10:00am to 2:00pm. Tickets now available at £5 (inc food in mill after match). Ring 01282-434786 for a ticket. Excellent prizes and trophies, for both age groups( under 17 and under 13) 1st, 2nd,3rd in each.

Open Matches

The next open match is on Sunday 28th May at Todmorden. Draw York Hotel upto 8:30am. Fish 10:00am to 3:00pm. £12 'all in'. Ring Richard on 017-6 290642 to book on.
The last Sunday open match at Littleborough was fished by 30 anglers, with an excellent result from the Littleborough/Smithy Bridge sections. The top four anglers han no fewer than twelve tench between them.

Members are reminded that members of T.A.S. may use TWO rods at once on all our waters. Day tickets are available for some of the canal (Summit - Littleborough - Rochdale -Castleton), Grove lodge,Cliviger fishponds,Croft head, and Town house, but only one rod for day ticket anglers, and tickets MUST be bought in advance from local tackle shops or Roundhouse Newsagents Littleborough, Monarch garage Cliviger. Anglers must fish from permanent pegs (where provided)
