The first Tuesday match was fished on Smithy Bridge sections of the Rochdale canal by 23 anglers. Good catches were enjoyed Roach a'plenty plus good Tench being caught.

Last Sundays open match was fished on Derdale, Sandholme, Gasworks, and Woodhouse  sections of the Rochdale canal by 24 anglers on a very hot sunny day weights were good, but only because the Bream obliged!

Waters are now starting to fish well with ench/Gudgoen coming from Queens St Mill to double pinkie. Cliviger fishponds had a good stocking of fishn adb has started to fish well with plenty of 'bits' , plus odd Bream and Tench. Grove Lodge good for Bream and Tench.

Day ticket anglers must buy day tickets before fishing form local tackle shops or Monarch Garage, Cliviger or Roundhouse Newsagents, Littleborough.

The open match fished last Sunday on the Walsden - Summit sections of the Rochdale canal was another 'big fish or bust' effort for the 22 entrants. Weights were very respectable for late April, but not a lot of fish were caught.
