The next committee meeting is to be held at the Hollins Inn on Wednesday 6th Novemberat 7:30 pm followed by the annual match meeting at 9:00 pm ( when dates times, venues and entry fees for all next years matches are agreed. Please come along with your ideas to improve match attendances.
Wednesday 13th November is the society`s A.G.M. also at the Hollins Inn at 7:30 pm. Officers and committee for next year are decided and various proposals for rule changes and match rule changes will de discussed and voted on. A new junior match organiser is urgently required.

Junior matches for 2002 are now complete with the exception of the grand Xmas match on 8th December, which is a fun day for all members and does not count for the junior championship. Attendance for the last match, fished on Firestation length was poor with only 5 juniors turn out even thought the fishing was quite good, with all entrants catching bits.

We urgently need a new junior match organiser owing to the standing down of Billy Cox. Thanks for running these matches for the last three years.
The A.G.M. where all officials and committee are elected for the coming year is at the Hollins Inn, Walsden, on Wednesday 13th November 2002 at 7:30 pm prompt.
All members are welcome to attend. Proposals are on the agenda to increase subs to £30 senior £15 concession, with junior remaining at £5. There are also proposals for an optional £5 stocking fund levy, using only barbless/whisker barb hooks,and making Grove Lodge a water where junior anglers have to be accompanied when fishing. Lets have a good attendance.
Matches for the new year willbe discussed/agreed on 6th November at 9:00 pm at the Hollins.

The much awaited pennine winter league has now started. The Todmorden match is on the Rochdale canal on Sundat 27th October. A practice match has been arranged on the same sections for Saturday 19th October. Ring 01706 650954 or 01706 290642 to book on.
The A.G.M. will be held at the Hollins Inn, Walsden on Wednesday 13th November at 7:30 prompt. Proposals are on the agenda to allow only barbless hooks, ban keepnets, increase subs, allow under 16`s only to fish Grove Lodge if accompanied by a senior member, and to introduce a £5 optional stocking fund fee. All members welcome to attend, but proposers and seconders MUST attend. All officials and committee stand down to allow any member wishing to participate in the running of the society to do so by putting themselves forward for office. We definately need a new junior match organiser and a child protection officer.
The arrangements for all next years matches will be decided ( dates venues time etc) at a meeting commencing at 9:00 pm on Wednesday 6th Novermer at the Hollins Inn.

The Pennine Winter League match at Todmorden is on Sunday 27th October, fish Fire Station to Sewage Works on the Rochdale canal. This match is only for teams entered into the winter league.
The final club match on the 2002 membership card is on Sunday 8th December,
and is the Grand Xmas Match. This match is for members only, and by ticket only.
Tickets will be available mid-October form local tackle shops, at £8 senior
including pie,chips & peas, or £4 for juniors also including pie,chips &
peas. Senior entry fee also includes £4 pool. The match will be fished on the
Library down to Shaw Wood sections of the Rochdale canal,with the draw at the
Hollins Inn, Waslden up to 9:00 am. Fish 10:00am to 1:00 pm.
After the match
the junior trophies will be presented, and then all the prizes for the match,
with separate sections for both senior and junior sections. Pie chips & peas
will be served at 1:30pm to 2:00 pm on production of match entry ticket.
The annual general meeting of T.A.S. will take place on Wednesday 13th November at the Hollins Inn, Walsden. Start at 7:30 prompt. All members are welcome to attend since there will be quite a few interesting proposals to vote on.

We urgently need a new junior organiser to run the junior matches, and also a child protection officer ( to implement the child protection policy)
