The final open match of the year was fishe last Sunday on Derdale, Sandholme, and Finneys sections of the Rochdale canal at Todmorden. 25 anglers enjoyed a reasonable days sport in good weather with Todmordens Richard Winterbottom winning easily from the Sandholme lock peg with a Carp, a Chub, plus Roach & Perch.
Result:
The final club match is 'The Grand Xmas Match' on 9th December, fish Derdale - Sewage works. Juniors £4, senoirs £8 inc food at Hollins Inn after match. Ticket only, members only. Tickets available soon.
The A.G.M. is on Wednesday 14th November 2001 at the Hollins Inn, Walsden at 7:30 pm prompt - members only.
Match programme for next year will be decided on Wednesday 7th November at the Hollins Inn, the committee meeting will follow on at 8:30 pm.
Proposals for rule changes or match ruls changes must be made in writing with a proposer and a seconder and recived by Ray Barber by 14th October at the latest. Both the proposer and seconder must attend the A.G.M. to speak on their proposal.

The committee and officals only match was fished at Raygill Fishery, Lothersdale in warm dry sunshine.
Result
The final junior match is on Saturday 22nd September. Draw Lane Bottomupto 1:30 pm, fish 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. All junior members welcome to fish 50p only. Junior tutoring is still happening on the Rochdale canal on Sundays. Ring 01706 817232 for more details.
The next committee meeting will commence at 7:00 pm at Town House Lodge, then continuing at the Hollins Inn on Wednesday 3rd October.

The final junior match of the year is on Saturday 22nd September on Lanebottom. Draw at layby at Lanebottom up to 1:30 pm fish 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm - 50p only. Members only. This is the final match which counts for the club championship. Junior coaching sessions continue on the library lenghth on the Rochdale canal on Sundays. Ring 01706 817232 for full details.
The first division N.F.A. championship is on Saturday 29th September on the rivers Cam and Ouse. If you wish to be considered for the team please ring Richard Winterbottom on 01706 290642.
This coming Sunday 16th September sees the final open match of the summer on Derdale downwards sections of the Rochdale canal. draw York Hotel Todmorden uo to 8:30 am. Fish 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. £12 all in. Ring Richard on 01706 290642 to book on.
Only two matches remain this year - The Pennine Winter League on 28th October this is a team and individual event, and then The Grand Xmas Match on Sunday 9th December, which is open to all members with a special for juniors. This match is all ticket and includes food back at the Hollins. The tickets cost £8 for seniors ( inc pool ) and £4 for juniors, but all entrants receive a prize. Prizes plus junior trophies will be presented on the day in the Hollins.
All waters are now open normally for members to fish except Lower Town House ( closed for work to be done ). A few restrictions are necessary at the moment inc.

The officials/committee only match is to be fished at Raygill Fishery, Lothersdale on Sunday 9th September, draw on the bank up to 8:00 am. Fish 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. A few pegs are still available if any official/committee member wishes to come along and fish this match ring Ray for a peg.
Croft Head fishery is now fully open for members only to fish with access via the car park. All cars to be parked on the car park. NO KEEP NETS,
Whiteley Knowles reservoir is also now open to members only, travel light .
Town House will be closed until further notice to enable additional work to
be done.
